Each year in late spring we are fortunate enough to share a weekend with some of our Alumni member. It is always a weekend full laughs, smiles, trips memory lane, stories, and all kinds of new memories
This past spring Miss Natalie Rupp planned a fabulous weekend for the Alumni members that made their way all the way to us in San Luis Obispo. Alumni and actives gathers at Alpha Phi around 9:30 A.M. on Saturday May 17th, 2008 to go on a wine tasting trip through Paso Robles. We all mingled, had coffee, some pastries and fount time to laugh our was through some old scrapbooks that the Alumni had created when they were new members. At 10:00 A.M all the fun began! A bus arrived and took the actives and alums to Tobin James, Eberle, and Eagle Castle wineries. At each winery we tasted the incredible central coast wines, the alumni told stories of when they were in college and on the road to each winery the actives and alumni sang Alpha Phi songs!
It was so fun, that there was no way we could all let the day end when the bus arrived back at Alpha Phi! We managed to make our way up and down the streets visiting old fraternity and sorority housed that were the old "hang outs: when the Alumni were attending the good ole' Cal Poly.
We ended a wonderful day together at Vallartas, a local Mexican restaurant, reminising on a memorable and exciting day! We all cherish our Alumni weekend memories and we look forward to this spring and we hope to see more Alumni members! Keep your eyes peeled for an early "Save the Date" email!
